With the show's attempts to tackle more topically themed story lines as it went on, from season four and onward an altered opening intro dialogue now had Kara decisively refer to herself as "a refugee". As a result of the shift in focus, episodes from particularly season 4 and 5 were arguably the most heavily debated of its run.
