While the origin of Indominus Rex's snake DNA has not been confirmed, it is likely it comes from the snake family Crotalinae, better known as the "pit vipers", or "pit adders", because she was described as tracking the warmth signatures from the visitors, and pit vipers are known to be able to sense heat signatures.
