Rob Schneider originally pitched this to then-Disney vice president Todd Garner in a jacuzzi at Paul Mitchell's estate in Hawaii. It was a concept called "Douche Baggio", where Schneider plays a man-whore and he's really good at it. He goes to the Playboy mansion and has sex with all these women. The joke is that he looks the way he looks, but women still want to sleep with him. Garner wasn't too big on it and instead wanted him to be more of a sweet guy and maybe a virgin. Schneider ran it by Adam Sandler and he agreed. Disney chief Joe Roth wanted the name to be changed to "Deuce Bigalow" because they can't have "douche" in the title.
