The Peabody Hotel scene was filmed in a private flat in the Shrine building in downtown Memphis, TN. The studio moved out all of the tenant's belongings and he stayed at the Peabody during filming. The Shrine is closer to the Mississippi River than the Peabody, which has an obstructed view of the river.
