In both this movie and the first Avengers movie there's a joke where someone is attacked before they can finish what they're saying. In the previous Avengers Thor tells Loki "Listen well, brother" before he's knocked off the cliff by Iron Man with Loki leaning forward and snarling "I'm listening" to the empty place Thor was moments earlier. In this movie, after Thor tosses a falling woman up to Cap to save during the bridge fight and a bot of Ulton rushes at Cap telling him he can't save everyone and Cap interrupts him by impaling him with his shield then calling it back to him and tosses the bot over the edge of the flying city, Cap calls down to the bot, "You didn't finish!" This repeat gag makes sense as both of these movies were written and directed by Joss Whedon.
