As in this film, in the wedding scene in the pilot episode of La famiglia Brady (1969) the family dog runs across the table, causing mayhem. Robert Reed ("Mike Brady") was not happy with the script as being too cliché because it has the dog causing the wedding cake to be dumped on his character. Reed had been hoping that it would be a more serious role, along that of the father figure in classic television shows and was constantly complaining throughout the series. Beyond that, the child actors tried to talk the producer into more serious story lines but he wouldn't budge.
