The first live-action musical scene takes place in Central Park. Dame Julie Andrews (The Narrator) played the main character in The Sound of Music (1965). The opening shot of the first line, "The hills are alive with the sound of music", from that movie is re-created here. It is the scene in which a camera on a helicopter pans over Andrews as she walks up the hill while she starts singing the title song of that movie. In this movie, while it does not start off with that shot, it is in the early part of Giselle's Central Park song number, and it is re-created using a crane rather than a helicopter. Disney now owns The Sound of Music (1965) via their buy-out of Twentieth Century Fox.
