The distinctive Pennsyvlania Railroad locomotive that pulls into the Philadelphia station near the end of the film is a PRR GG1 class electric, number 4849. Developed by General Electric exclusively for the PRR, 139 were built from 1934 to 1943, mostly at the PRR shops in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The last GG1 ran in 1983.
