Stephen Dillane's character, Edward I was nicknamed "Longshanks" - shanks being a term for legs - in reference to his unusual height of 6'2. Edward here, however, is noticibly no taller than his co-stars. He was also known as "Hammer of the Scots" and was the monarch who conquered Wales.
