The premiere screening of film at the 2002 Adelaide Festival of Arts in South Australia also featured the original artwork by Peter Coad which was exhibited for audiences following the film. "The opportunity to have film included in the [2002 Adelaide] Arts Festival has enabled us to create a theatrical event by including elements such as live music and the art exhibition", director Rolf de Heer said.
