In the book Cidade de Deus (1997) by Paulo Lins, the Trio Ternura (Tender Trio) was composed by Inferninho (Little Hell), Tutuca (probably a nickname for Arthur) and Martelo (Hammer). The names of the hoods were changed for the movie: Cabeleira (Shaggy), Marreco (Goose) and Alicate (Clipper).
