James D'Arcy almost had to pass on the role of Jarvis because of his commitment to the British TV series "Broadchurch (2013)." Luckily, a way was found to not have the two shooting schedules overlap. D'Arcy's last day of shooting for Broadchurch ended at midday and by three in the afternoon he was on a plane to Los Angeles to begin work on Agent Carter the next day.
