It was long rumored that when filming was through one day nearing the end of production, Kim Cattrall posed fully nude wearing only her Vulcan ears on the bridge set. Reportedly, Leonard Nimoy found out about it and was furious. He then forced Cattrall to turn over the film and he had it destroyed. This has been repeatedly stated to be false by both Nimoy and Cattrall, and not one shred of verifiable evidence has ever been produced. Though some fans wondered if it did happen and Nimoy merely forced Cattrall to deny this. In a 1992 interview with Femme Fatales magazine a year after the film was released, Cattrall merely replied, "I can't talk about that" when asked about the photos.
