When Karan Johar inspired from Aditya Chopra's"Yash Raj Films" film "Dhoom" in 2004 ; He waa planning & announced a new film in action genre for "Dharma Productions" titled "Kaal" or "Kurbaan" in 2005 ; Previously the original cast of the film featuring ; Starring :- Sanjay Dutt (in Ajay Devgn's Kaali role) Shah Rukh Khan (in John Abraham's role) Kajol (in Esha Deol's role) Shahid Kapoor (in Vivek Oberoi's role) & Lara Dutta ; Produced by - Red Chillies Productions in collab of SRK & Soham Shah ; Directed by - Karan Johar himself. ; but later the cast was changed due to major problems & date issues ; then the film was finally reased after some controversies unknown reasons back in 2005.
