Mandy Patinkin famously played Che Guevara in the original Broadway cast of Evita; Peter Falk, who plays The Grandfather, portrayed a character heavily based on Fidel Castro in the 1961 Twilight Zone episode "The Mirror." Castro was Guevara's commanding officer in the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, and the two men were close friends and confidants.
