In an extended deleted version of the scene of the final confrontation between Shaw and the seemingly Last Engineer on the planet, footage of the video transmission that Holloway put together earlier to send to the Engineers' planet to make first contact can be seen, primarily showing footage of a young Shaw playing the violin. The Engineer, upon entering the life-boat, seems entranced by the video, and has almost an impressed look on his face, perhaps implying that the Engineers didn't expect humanity to become such advanced beings.
