Dawn Wells wrote on page 213 in her 2014 memoir "A Guide to Life: What Would Mary Ann Do?" that Bob d'Arcy was Bob Denver's stand in who did many of the more dangerous physical stunts. Bob was also the actor in the robot suit for the episode Gilligan's Living Doll.
