Jamie Lee Curtis faces off against the first season's three central killers as a direct homage to her previous slasher horror roles in 1978 and 1980. She had first famously portrayed in debut performance Laurie Strode in Halloween - La notte delle streghe (1978) and faced off against her murderous, masked brother Michael Myers. In Non entrate in quella casa (1980) she had contended with her masked, murderous brother Alex Hammond and in Terror Train (1980) confronted a masked killer aboard her sorority and brother fraternity's New Years Party. The Justice Antonin Scalia mask bears striking resemblance to the Groucho Marx mask first donned by the Terror Train killer and the person behind both costumes has a personal vendetta against Jamie Lee Curtis' character.
