When Maria's prison is burnt and she goes missing, Soraya makes a very cruel joke and some really nasty remarks about Maria being calcined. "La gata" tells her to be careful about what she says, otherwise God might punish her with a similar destiny. At the end of the series, Soraya dies in a fire she has caused herself.
