The demise of the indominus Rex is similar to that of the Giganotosaurus from the comic series Jurassic Park: Redemption in the fifth issue of the comic when the Giganotosaurus is quarrelling with the main characters at the Texas Nuclear Power Plant, a pack of Velociraptors enter the area and attacked the large theropod. While the Giganotosaurus is overwhelmed with the Raptors, it stumbles into the river nearby where it is then killed by a Mosasaurus that was present in that river since the second issue.
