It took M. Night Shyamalan 19 years to make the trilogy, as the 2019 release date suggests. Unbreakable - Il predestinato (2000) was being developed shortly after the success of The Sixth Sense - Il sesto senso (1999). Sixteen years later, Split (2016) came out, and shortly after it, this movie was announced.
