Tujh Sa Hasin Dekha Na Kahin..R.D. Burman had originally composed this song for a film "Zabardast" which was in production at the same time as this film. Randhir Kapoor had fallen in love with the tune when the music director had played the song during a music session for this film and had asked him if it could be used for the film Harjaee. R.D. Burman had turned down Randhir Kapoor's request stating that he could not give him a song that had been recorded for another film. Besides, the originally recorded song made prominent use of the word "Zabardast" which would not fit in this film. Sometime later, Burman told Randhir Kapoor that "Zabardast" had been shelved and that the song he had loved could now be used in this film. This song was then recorded for the film with new lyrics in which the word "Zabardast" was replaced by "Kashmakash" and "Gulbadan". Director Nasir Husain did eventually make another film titled "Zabardast" (1985) but it was based on a completely different script.
