The potion which Fairy Godmother (Jennifer Saunders) gives to King Harold (John Cleese) to make Fiona (Cameron Diaz) fall in love with the first man she kisses is labelled "IX", making the bottle "Love Potion #9" - a reference to a song by The Searchers, which also inspired a film by the same name starring Sandra Bullock.
