Besides Lucifer's wings, angelic references and imagery are scattered throughout season 3, both subtly and conspicuously. e.g. the Hotel Angelette in "They're Back, Aren't They?", St. Angeline Hospital in "Infernal Guinea Pig", culminating in a veritable volley of angels in "The Angel of San Bernadino" - angel figurines, "angelic visitatons", David Boreanaz (best known for playing a character named Angel in the Whedonverse) by way of an episode of Bones, as well as the word Angel in the very episode title, etc.
