When the show debuted, both Bob Barker and Roger Dobkowitz had their own problems with the original executive producer Frank Wayne. Barker had problems with him regarding how to do the show, at the beginning. Frank had the upper hand latter, while Bob had the upper hand and was the only one in charge of the show. Dobkowitz had different problems with him, because he protected his own son Phil, and he did not want Dobkowitz to become a producer. Absolutely, both Mark Goodson and Bob Barker both overruled Roger and he became producer, replacing Barbara Hunter.
