The original version of this sitcom is considered groundbreaking in that it presented an all female family in a serious way; and in it's serious and pretty realistic depiction of divorce. But it was not critically acclaimed. The new version is critically acclaimed though; and has been nominated for multiple Emmy's and Golden Globes.
