Similar to the characters in The Beverly Hillbillies (1962) who did not wear "city clothes" and kept to their old hillbilly clothes, Oliver and Lisa wore "city clothes" instead of regular farm clothes. Specifically, Oliver always wore business attire with a tie and vest, even when working in the field, and Lisa always wore glamorous dresses and jewelry, a different outfit in every scene.
