In November 2020, Marvel Studios hired Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux from Bob's Burgers (2011-) to pen the script. However by March 2022, they left the project and Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, writers of the first two Deadpool films, were brought in to rework the script. The Molyneux sisters will still receive a story credit, though.
