There has been a question as to where Gunther and Tinka are from and by first name and last name; it would appear that they would be from a fictitious Germany. In the talent show episode, Gunter wears a sash that has the colors Red, blue on a white background, and green. This would imply, if it is the flag of where their heritage is from, Gambia.
