Gregory P. Salinger (Jeremy Bobb) is known in the comics as the second individual to adopt the mantle of the Foolkiller. His predecessor, Ross G. Everbest, defined fools as sinners who must be eliminated by an acting agent of God, that agent being the Foolkiller. Salinger, adopted the identity and secularized the mission, defining fools as those who lacked a poetic nature an focused on superficiality and materialism. Salinger would go on to mentor a third Foolkiller, Kurt Gerhart, who would further define fools as those who pursue momentary or instant gratification at the expense of the common good. In this series, instead of fools, Salinger goes after those who he considers cheats, frauds, or others who are in positions that they did not earn.
