The 17th episode of the third season, Le cose che amo di te: Dangerous Liaisons (2005) included many callbacks to Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990) (on which Jennie Garth played Kelly Taylor for all 10 seasons), including Luke Perry (as Todd) mentioning his high school girlfriend Brenda (Perry's character "Dylan" on Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990) dated Brenda Walsh, played by Shannen Doherty), and in a flashback where Todd and Val are talking in their high school, a male extra walks by and Todd addresses him as Brandon (Brandon Walsh was also a character on Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), played by actor Jason Priestley, who would go on to guest star on Le cose che amo di te (2002) the following season).
