In both the movie and it's prequel, Tabu's character orders the torture of Ajay Devgan's family for confession but conceals her own son's crime of making an obscene MMS clipping. In addition to the fact, Ishita Dutta's character gets brutally beaten on Akshay Khanna's instructions despite suffering from epilepsy which causes her to undergo a fit during the interrogation session. In legal terms, both Tabu's and Akshay Khanna's characters can be charged with "misuse of authority" if revealed to superiors.
