Lots of scenes share a bizarre similarity to Terry Gilliam's Brazil. Both films feature a wimpy hero trapped in an absurd and chaotic workplace. The set designs are almost identical. Other similarities: Pieces of paper blown by the wind get stuck on the protagonist. Music in several scenes, and the scene with kiss. The idea of someone receiving a lobotomy and getting locked up in a mental institute. Both films have scenes which take part in the hero's head. They involve flying and angels. Workplace lobby scenes are identical.
