George Miller had planned to bring Mad Max to the small screen and started developing a television series based on the Mad Max films and that he wanted Jon Blake whom he had worked with on Cool Change (1986) to star in the series. But, Jon Blake's acting career ended when he sustained permanent brain damage in a auto accident and the Mad Max television series never got made.
