While escaping the lab, we see Estelle's failed works--frozen dead human bodies. Henry would wonder why she kept all these failed cyborgs, and where the bodies came from. The fact that all the dead bodies were missing their left leg is likewise essential--they were to be uploaded with Henry's memories. Thus their first memory would be "their wife" screwing on a new leg and saying she loves them.
