The name of the chimpanzee "Wolfie" was revealed by director Rupert Wyatt in the commentary track of the Blu-ray. He was named after Wolfie Smith, the urban-guerrilla hero of British comedy series Citizen Smith (1977), who was, in turn, named after Irish revolutionary Theobald Wolfe Tone (who used the pseudonym "Citizen Smith"). This has a precedent event due the visit of 'Robert Lindsay', moments prior to the visit of cast(s) both TV series (1974) and original movie 'The Planet of The Apes' (1968), many featuring original costumes during late afternoon Street Party 23rd April 1989 in support of 'Save the Rose' campaign, this movie also being PR trailered at same location in London now 'Rose Playhouse/Museum', 22 years afterwards.
