Multiple cast members have expressed their surprise at how young people - even preteens - connect with the subject matter of The Office, considering they've never been part of a workplace. Rainn Wilson has mentioned that the first generation of iPod Videos came preloaded with the first Christmas episode of The Office. "And who got those? Rich kids. So all of a sudden, all these young people got to see The Office."
