Prior to appearing in Sonic The Hedgehog, Jim Carey appeared on a Beatles tribute album titled "In My Life", in which he preformed I Am The Walrus from The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour, a song that contains the lyrics "I am the egg man/They are the egg men/I am the Walrus". This song is said to have been the inspiration for Dr. Robotnik's nickname "Dr. Eggman.
