According to Andrea Perron, the eldest daughter of the family who was a consultant for the film, she believes the dark spirit that haunted their home was not Bathsheba as Lorraine Warren had sensed, but was a Mrs Arnold. The Arnolds were the original farm house owners before the Perrons and Mrs Arnold hung herself in their barn after her husband had died. She was 93 years old when she did this.
