After the film, Mukesh Bhatt gave various interviews bashing Vinod Khanna and calling him every name in the book. Vinod finally had enough and gave Mukesh three tight slaps when he saw him at the film studio. Vinod Khanna stated he gave Mukesh Bhatt work as his secretary when he was a jobless drunk. It was Mahesh who begged Vinod to help his brother Mukesh. Vinod Khanna did the film Jurm for him as a favor. Vinod claimed that the Bhatt brothers played dirty games with him. At one end Mukesh Bhatt would pay him his money owed, then Mahesh would come and tell him a sob story the same day about how broke he was and take back that same payment given to Vinod. When Mukesh went to the press and bashed Vinod, Vinod at first ignored it. It was only when it went overboard did Vinod react. The Bhatt brothers denied the incident ever occurred.
