"The Odd Couple" was on during the 1974 and 1975, as was "Happy Days," both Garry Marshall sitcoms. Both Al Molinaro and Penny Marshall were recurring characters on both these programs. Ironically Tony Randall who starred on "Odd Couple" also made a guest appearance on "Happy Days." And of course once "Odd Couple" wrapped in 1975, the set depicting Oscar's apartment was quickly converted into Laverne and Shirley's apartment.
