Ash has been shown to be a good climber, as mentioned in Pokémon 4ever (2001) (when Misty and Brock say "He climbs like a Mankey!") and Pokémon: Lucario e il mistero di Mew (2005) (when Brock calls him a "human Aipom"). Ash's climbing ability has also been shown in several episodes throughout the series, such as Pokémon: Iris and Kibago!/To the Isshu Region! Zekrom's Shadow! (2010), when he climbs up a tree to try to save Pikachu and Axew, and in Pokémon: Shoyo Gym Battle! Pikachu VS Chigoras!! (2014), in which he climbed up the rock-climbing wall up to Grant to face him and win the Cliff Badge.
