Actress Susan Sarandon was originally cast as the lesbian character Stella Cooke played by Meg Foster. Sarandon about five years later controversially featured in a lesbian love scene with French actress Catherine Deneuve in Tony Scott's 'The Hunger' (1983) whilst around thirty-three years later Sarandon made out with actress Rae Dawn Chong in 'Jeff, Who Lives at Home' (2011).
