GLOW was supposed to have a fourth and final season, and filming had actually commenced on said season, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed, and due to the added expense of trying to film under the safety precautions required under the pandemic (and under California emergency declarations due to it), and the worry that delaying the final season until possibly 2022 at earliest might drive away viewers, the series was officially canceled on October 5, 2020.
