Gotham's car police serial number where Arthur is being transferred to the police station after Murray Franklin's killing is 9189. It's a play on numbers of "1989", as a hint for Tim Burton's Batman (1989). Burton's movie was the first time where Joker appeared on a silver screen. Oddly enough, Phillips' movie was premiered in the 30th anniversary of Burton's movie.
