Rob Simonsen reuses the late Elmer Bernstein's Ghostbusters theme ((which Randy Edelman had eschewed during the composing of Ghostbusters II (Acchiappafantasmi II) (1989)). Simonsen also reprises Bernstein's themes for Gozer and the Terror Dogs and other miscellaneous leitmotifs from Ghostbusters (Acchiappafantasmi) (1984).
