In August 2010, publisher HarperCollins published an unauthorized biography 'The Man in the White Suit', revealing the then current Stig ("White Stig") to be racing driver Ben Collins. The BBC was unsuccessful in preventing publication of this book. The BBC refuses to deny or acknowledge whether Ben Collins is, or ever was, "The Stig".
