In the movie, Kakihara is a handsome-looking, young man with a slender and athletic body, donning flashy leisure suits w/long satin jackets or coats. In the manga, Kakihara was originally depicted as a creepy-looking, middle-aged man with an average and hairy body, donning a black two-piece suit w/black tie completed with thin shibari-ropes for undergarments. But the only characteristic on Kakihara that didn't change in the movie are his countless piercings, his facial scars and stylish shoes.
