Togo passed away at the ripe old age of 16, in 1929. An impressive feat for a canine who endured as much as Togo had. He was, however, not the longest-lived member of Seppala's Serum Run team. That title goes to Fritz, who ran co-lead with Togo. He ended his days at the age of 18, in 1932.
