There is a scene in which Mannix confronts an actor about having to cover up a potential scandal involving a gay actor associated with Il gioco dell'amore (1959). The only actor associated with that film about whom there was ever any suspicion of being gay was Tony Randall but during his 63 years of married life and his strict fidelity, this suspicion was completely false.
